Armenian composer and pianist Arno Babadzhanyan (Jan. 22, 1921 - Nov. 11, 1983) wrote the Trio for violin cello and piano in F# minor in 1952. His compositions, which includes concertos, chamber music and virtuoso piano works were mainly inspired by Armenian by folk elements. Babadzhanyan was a brilliant pianist and in 1971 he was made a "People's Artist of the USSR".
